Groundwork London approached us about an educational project they were running with Waltham Forest for a host of Primary Schools in the borough. They wanted to create a multi-media product based on the project theme, Air Pollution. Working with a range of 7 -9 year olds we talked through how best to achieve an environment where the pupils could be creative and collaborate in each step of the process.

Stop Motion allows us to create something of really high quality whilst involving the pupils all the way through. They designed the message, drew the elements, animated each element and took each still frame of the animation.

We were very impressed by the creativity and technical understanding of the Year 3’s we worked with. They totally got it straight off and that in itself allowed them to come up with fun, creative elements to the animation.

It got us thinking … how many stories and how many ways could they be told?
